Description
Our history is so important and we need to remember where we came from. Life was difficult for the settlers of the westward movement in the United States. Pioneers were focused and strong and succeeded in making a good life on lands that were not friendly-ecologically and psychologically. Against all odds, they succeeded and built an amazing country. Looking back in history, this barn/tool shed appears to have been abandoned. Perhaps the owners moved on to a better life. That is free enterprise and what America is all about!

Wonderful tones and textures to go with the beautiful light and shadow play on this interesting old scene. Congratulations on the 3rd place win in the Shadows, Mood and Light contest.
