Description
Settlers in the early years of the United States did not have the wonderful educational opportunities that are available today. This tiny little schoolhouse is the actual building that American children got to use every day. They did not have bus service, or parents that were able to drive them to school. Some of these children walked many miles to reach school. This image was taken in a field in South Dakota. Off of I-90 you will find a recreation of a pioneer village. All the buildings, tools, equipment and such are authentic. They have been "discovered" and moved here from all over the Midwest United States.

I really like this little red schoolhouse photo for the composition and color. The texture is wonderful, too. Good job! I enjoyed all your galleries but especially the "Prarie Series".
