Entering or leaving Mobile, Alabama, required a ride through a tunnel or a trip over a bridge. This is the Cochrane-Africatown Bridge that crosses over the Mobile River. It was constructed in 1991 and is an alternate route because hazardous materials are prohibited in the tunnels that take vehicles under the Mobile River.
